What Is the Warranty?

Every device sold by MacStoreUK (Mac Group Solutions Ltd) comes with a 12-month warranty against hardware defects and malfunctions arising from normal everyday use. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase as shown on your original invoice or order confirmation.

Where a defect or fault covered by these terms arises during the warranty period, we will, at our sole discretion, either repair or replace your device. The choice of remedy rests with MacStoreUK — it is not for the customer to specify whether repair or replacement is the appropriate solution.

Important: This warranty is not insurance. It covers manufacturing defects and hardware faults only. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or loss — and it does not replace your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What's Covered & What's Not

The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship only. It does not cover the device's accessories (chargers, cables, peripherals), nor any third-party or pre-installed software.

✓ Covered

  • Display malfunctions and dead pixels
  • Battery failure (capacity falling below 80% health within the warranty period due to a defect, not normal degradation)
  • Storage drive failures
  • Keyboard and trackpad hardware defects
  • Logic board failures
  • Speaker and microphone hardware defects
  • Port and connector failures arising from normal use

✕ Not Covered

  • Physical damage, including cracked screens, broken ports, or bent chassis
  • Liquid damage of any kind
  • Cosmetic wear consistent with the device's stated grade at purchase
  • Software, operating system, or app issues
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modifications (including jailbreaking)
  • Repairs or modifications carried out by any third party — doing so will void this warranty
  • Loss, theft, or damage to data stored on the device
  • Accessories supplied with the device (cables, adapters, peripherals)

Making a Warranty Claim

To make a claim under this warranty, please follow these steps:

1

Contact us at info@macstoreuk.com or call 0203 004 9465 (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm GMT). Provide your order number and a description of the fault.

2

We assess your claim. Our team will review the fault and confirm whether it falls within warranty coverage. We may ask for photos or further information before proceeding.

3

Return your device. If a physical inspection is required, we will provide a prepaid return label. Please ensure the device is factory reset, signed out of all accounts, and Find My is disabled before sending. See Your Responsibilities below.

4

We repair or replace. Once received, we aim to assess and resolve all warranty claims within 5–7 business days. We will notify you of the outcome and arrange return delivery at no charge where the claim is valid.

Please note: If a returned device is found to fall outside warranty coverage (due to misuse, physical damage, or other exclusions), a £30 handling and return shipping fee will apply. We reserve the right to void this warranty where there is clear evidence of customer-induced damage or tampering.

Your Responsibilities

Before returning any device to us under warranty, you are responsible for:

  • Backing up all personal data, photos, and files — we cannot guarantee data will be preserved during repair or replacement
  • Signing out of your Apple ID and disabling Find My on the device before dispatch
  • Factory resetting the device and removing all passcodes and security locks
  • Removing your SIM card and any accessories before sending
  • Packaging the device securely to prevent transit damage

Failure to comply with these steps may delay processing of your claim or result in the device being returned to you unrepaired. MacStoreUK accepts no liability for data loss or accessories returned with the device.

Repairs & Replacements

Where we determine that a replacement device is the appropriate remedy, the following applies:

  • The replacement device becomes your property and MacStoreUK retains the original
  • Any remaining warranty period transfers to the replacement device. If fewer than 3 months remain, we will extend coverage so that you have a minimum of 3 months' warranty on the replacement
  • Cosmetic grade: Due to normal wear that accumulates during the warranty period, replacement devices are provided on a like-for-like cosmetic condition basis at the time of return — not the original grade purchased. For example, if you purchased a Grade A device and return it in Grade C condition, the replacement will be Grade C
  • You are not entitled to request that the original device be returned once a replacement has been issued
